Robotics
Grades 1 - 2
Students use block-based coding to control their DASH robots. Kids can watch their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real-time as Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to its surroundings. The durable and child friendly robots are a safe and easy way to encourage STEAM learning. Maker materials, such as lego, tape, cardboard and other accessories can be added to transform your robots! The goal of the camps is to spark creativity with kids inspiring them to dream up new adventures.
Grades 3 - 5
In this program, kids will utilize LEGO Robotics kits to construct engineering projects that tackle real-life issues. By building robots, they will grasp STEAM principles and understand how different components work together to achieve a specific result. A combination of engineering, coding, and robotics will be used to explore a variety of projects and develop solutions for various problems.
Grades 3 - 5
Controlling Robots with wheels (spheres), to do stuff - EASY. How about a Robot which is just a sphere in itself - WOW!!! That’s what Sphero is all about. This sphere comes with a compass, light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, motor encoders, and infrared communications, and all of these advanced sensors will let you automatically aim and drive your educational robot and complete fun challenges - DOUBLE WOW!!!
Grades 6 - 8
We will be using LEGO SPIKE Prime to kick-start this program and build engineering projects (using a mix of engineering, coding & robotics) to address real-life concerns from the world around us. Kids will learn to not only build LEGO robots but in the process, learn STEAM concepts related to the functionalities of a machine, and how different parts work together in tandem to create the desired effect. The familiarity of LEGO bricks combined with STEAM concepts and real-life challenges is what this curriculum is built upon.
Electronics
Grades 4 - 6
In this course, we help explore the creativity of your kids and turn their ideas into reality with the littleBits STEAM kit! littleBits is an easy, flexible, and accessible way to learn electronics, coding fundamentals, and engineering design principles. With these littleBits cross-curricular lessons, your kids will develop important STEAM skills while having fun. Kids will snap together the easy-to-use building blocks, fully utilize the capabilities of littleBits, code the codeBit through blocks, and make inventions with their kit.
Grades 4 - 6
Level 1 » Level 2 » Level +
Unleash your child's inner inventor with our Coding & Mini-Robotics with Micro:Bit program! With electronics & mini-robotics kits, coding exercises, and the micro:bit, they'll develop critical thinking, creativity, and engineering skills. Plus, they get to take home their micro:bit kit and components!
Grades 7 - 8
This curriculum involves using mini-robotics kits either Arduino, which are designed to develop and improve: Critical thinking, Creativity & Imagination, Engineering skills, and Decision making. We will be working with the robotics kit, and combining it with coding languages. The Arduino is a tiny and affordable computer that you can use to learn programming through fun, practical projects. The projects would range from simple games and device controllers to complex IoT (Internet of Things) projects. Kids will be required to purchase mini-robotics kits.
Design
Grades K - 2
Using kid-safe cardboard construction tools, they'll craft fantastic projects, from cardboard castles, rockets, to DIY toys. Foster creativity and problem-solving in this hands-on building, imagination-fueled adventure. Join the fun — let their creativity soar!
Grades K - 2
Kids design and make stickers and charms, unleashing creativity. Beyond crafting, they delve into selling to coursemates and family during pick-up. This dynamic course blends creativity with practical business skills, fostering budding artists and entrepreneurs.
Grades K - 2
Form teams to create a story, build LEGO brick models of the characters, the scenes and backdrops, use art and craft materials where needed. Finally we will narrate the story, enact it with the models, scenes, backdrops made, add voice overs, and record the entire story to enjoy and share later! We will explore the Earth, the Space, and everything in between such as the animal kingdom, ocean life, architectural and engineering projects – all through the eye of LEGO blocks. We will be using a mix of LEGO Building Blocks and Interactive Immersive Storytelling to help kids learn.
Grades 3 - 5
This camp focuses on teaching the foundational concepts of design, 3D Design, and getting them familiar with software they will use to build their models. We will be exploring the basic foundational concepts of 3D printing using a software called TinkerCAD – a kid-friendly online computer-aided design (CAD) program where users can design, modify, and print 3D objects.
Grades 1 - 2
Kids love to build, and they love to build the world they see around them. This course facilitates this by teaching kids to navigate the world of Minecraft and make their little world. Kids will explore Minecraft – a blocky 3D world, discover and extract raw materials, craft tools, and build structures or earthworks. This is a beginner level course for young kids who haven't played on Minecraft before or just have started. We will introduce them to the world of Minecraft, and explore their abilities to build, while stoking the kids’ imaginations.
Grades 3 - 5
Players explore a blocky, procedurally-generated 3D world, discover and extract raw materials, craft tools, and build structures or earthworks. Minecraft is the perfect avenue for designers and game builders to explore the basics of design, engineering & computational thinking and work on their problem-solving skills while developing these out-of-the-world virtual environments. In this course, we harvest the love kids have for constructing worlds in Minecraft to teach computational thinking skills and help bring an art curriculum alive.
Grades 4 - 6
Here we focus on the design aspect of Minecraft and less on the Gameplay. We will be working on getting kids familiar with image-editing software and then using that knowledge to implement the end products that they designed, into their Minecraft world. This course requires that the kid is familiar with the basics of Minecraft and has played Minecraft before, since we will not be able to introduce the kid to the basics of Minecraft.
Grades 4-6
