At our coding summer camp, children ages 8-14 can dive headfirst into the exciting world of technology. Our program is designed to be both fun and educational, teaching kids the building blocks of coding through engaging projects and activities.
Led by experienced instructors, campers will learn to create their own games, websites, and apps while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Whether your child is a beginner or already has some coding experience, our camp offers a supportive environment to grow their skills and ignite their passion for technology.

Aug 5th to Aug 9th - 1pm to 4pm
Throughout this program, we'll teach them several fundamental programming constructs. They will also see them in action as they are coding up on Scratch. Through the course of learning and playing around with several programming concepts, we will be developing multiple games and storyboards. The classes will adapt an algorithmic-based approach towards deriving a solution or building a project.

Launch your kid's interest in coding and game development with this Roblox course! Kids will use a beginner-friendly code editor to code their Roblox Games. They will learn the fundamentals of game design and build their very own obstacle courses, complete with evil fire-spawning platforms and speed boosts. They will sculpt designs and custom art, costumes for avatars on Roblox's toolbox; and get their imagination flowing with Roblox Studio, an immersive game engine.

Students use block-based coding to control their DASH robots. Kids can watch their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real-time as Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to its surroundings. The durable and child friendly robots are a safe and easy way to encourage STEAM learning. Maker materials, such as lego, tape, cardboard and other accessories can be added to transform your robots! The goal of the camps is to spark creativity with kids inspiring them to dream up new adventures.

We will be using LEGO SPIKE Prime to kick-start this program and build engineering projects (using a mix of engineering, coding & robotics) to address real-life concerns from the world around us. Kids will learn to not only build LEGO robots but in the process, learn STEAM concepts related to the functionalities of a machine, and how different parts work together in tandem to create the desired effect. The familiarity of LEGO bricks combined with STEAM concepts and real-life challenges is what this curriculum is built upon.

This curriculum involves using mini-robotics kits which are designed to develop and improve: Critical thinking, Creativity & Imagination, Engineering skills, and Decision making. A significant chunk of the curriculum time will be devoted to journeying with the micro:bit, taking them from their first use of a block programming language to writing and evaluating algorithms, becoming a confident coder, and beyond! The material fees will cover the cost of the Micro:bit kits and related components which kids can take back after the camp.

This curriculum involves using mini-robotics kits called Arduino, which are designed to develop and improve: Critical thinking, Creativity & Imagination, Engineering skills, and Decision making. We will be working with the robotics kit, and combining it with coding languages. The Arduino is a tiny and affordable computer that you can use to learn programming through fun, practical projects. The projects would range from simple games and device controllers to complex IoT (Internet of Things) projects. Kids will be required to purchase mini-robotics kits.

We will be working on getting kids familiar with image-editing software and then using that knowledge to implement the end products that they designed, into their Minecraft world. This course requires that the kid is familiar with the basics of Minecraft and has played Minecraft before, since we will not be able to introduce the kid to the basics of Minecraft.

Kids learn to deconstruct a problem into several logical steps and execute each of those steps in the correct sequence. Several unplugged exercises will be included to enhance their logical and analytical thinking. A significant portion of the curriculum time will be devoted to familiarizing them with visual programming languages designed specifically for younger learners like Scratch Jr, Code.org, etc.
